About the Firm

A boutique firm, by design

MTP Law Pty Ltd is a boutique law firm founded in 2015 and based at 9 Sun Crescent, Sunshine. We service Sunshine, Bacchus Marsh, Melbourne and western suburbs, with appointment-only offices in Bacchus Marsh and the Melbourne CBD for clients closer to those areas.

We have stayed deliberately small. Being a boutique firm means the lawyer you meet at your first appointment is the lawyer who runs your matter — returning your calls, explaining each step in plain English, and staying in regular contact until the job is done.

That approach shapes everything we do: fixed-fee cost agreements so you know the cost up front, appointments after hours and at your home or hospital bedside when needed, and advice available in Vietnamese as well as English.

Client Reviews

What our clients say

Ratings and reviews from clients we've acted for. Every submission is checked by our team before it's published — see "Leave a Review" below for how that works.

The reviews shown above are illustrative placeholders written to demonstrate this section's layout — they are not genuine client reviews. Real client reviews are only published here after a team member has verified the submission.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, call 0493 985 116 or send an enquiry below.

Does MTP Law offer fixed fees?

Yes. MTP Law works under fixed-fee cost agreements wherever possible, agreed with you before any work begins, so you know the full cost of your matter up front. There are no hidden or "sundry" charges — the price we agree is the price you pay. Where a fixed fee isn't practical, we explain the likely costs clearly before you decide to proceed.

Can a lawyer visit me at home, in hospital or at work?

Yes. Our mobile service covers Bacchus Marsh, Melbourne and the western suburbs. We regularly prepare wills, powers of attorney and other urgent documents at clients' homes and hospital bedsides, and we can meet business clients at their premises. Just mention it when you call 0493 985 116.

Do you offer after-hours appointments?

Yes. We offer extended and after-hours consultations by appointment, so you don't have to take time off work to get legal advice. After-hours appointments are available at our Bacchus Marsh office and by arrangement at Melbourne CBD and Sunshine.

Can I get legal advice in Vietnamese?

Yes. MTP Law provides legal advice in Vietnamese as well as English, and Vietnamese-language appointments are welcome at any of our three offices. Tư vấn pháp lý bằng tiếng Việt.

What areas of law does MTP Law practise?

We practise in seven core areas: commercial disputes and litigation, commercial law, conveyancing and property law, deceased estates and probate, family law, estate planning (wills and powers of attorney), and criminal law. See our practice areas for what each service includes.

Where are your offices, and do I need an appointment?

Our head office is at 9 Sun Crescent, Sunshine VIC 3020. We also see clients at 62 Grant Street, Bacchus Marsh and 530 Little Collins Street, Melbourne — both by appointment only. Call 0493 985 116 to book at any location, or ask about our mobile service.

Do I need probate to deal with a deceased estate in Victoria?

Often, yes. Probate is a grant from the Supreme Court of Victoria confirming that a will is valid and that the executor may administer the estate. Whether you need it depends on the assets involved — banks and the land registry usually require a grant before releasing significant assets. If there is no will, an application for letters of administration may be needed instead. We guide executors and families through the whole process.

How long does conveyancing take in Victoria?

Most residential conveyancing matters settle 30 to 90 days after the contract is signed, depending on the settlement period negotiated in the contract of sale. We review the contract and Section 32 statement, handle searches and adjustments, and stay in contact with your bank and the other side's representatives so settlement isn't delayed.
